Tula Pink Chipper

7 weeks today is the 1st of March and you know what that means? We saw it previewed at quilt market last October and have been counting down the days ever since. Yes, it's Tula Pink's next fabric range for Free Spirit - Chipper! 

I ordered the full range of 18 prints last year and have been taking pre orders in my fabric group on Facebook since then. My pre order yardage is going fast now though so if you would like some Chipper and haven't ordered yet - don't leave it too long. You can order either by joining my Facebook group or by sending me a message letting me know which ones you'd like via my www.tangledblossomsdesign.com website and I will set up a custom listing especially for you. 

As usual the colours of the digital fabric images (as seen above) pale by comparison to their true stunning reality (as you can see in Tula's Instagram photo below)! 

By the way... Chipper is named after the cute Chipmunk seen in one of the prints ❤️ 

I can't wait to see all of them in person - the amazing purples, raspberry, pink and teal shades look truly amazing! I'm soo excited - just 49days to go!!

Wollmeise and lace!

If you follow me on Instagram and Facebook you may have seen this sneak preview of my first lace shawl pattern that I've been working on... 

This design has been a long time in the making (since 2011!) and has had many twists and turns along the way until it finally fell into place this last Christmas! I dug deep into my yarn stash and swatched many yarns before deciding it was time to use up some of my precious Wollmeise pure merino as the stitch definition it gives lace knitting is absolutely amazing. The range of Wollmeise colours are delicious and plentiful and the skeins have an added bonus of being 150g which gives me great sizing options too. I am very nearly finished knitting my first test and then the pattern can go out to my testers... if all goes well it may be ready for release around Valentine's Day! As soon as I've finished knitting I'll be back to show it to you all in its full blocked glory!
